50th Wedding Anniversary Card

We were invited to a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration so I just had to create a card. Yes it took some time but I'm sure they didn't get two of these! Highlighted some of the markings on the leaves with embossing powder. Used my Scor-it-Board tool to mark the horizontal line on bottom third of card. Finished off with a sheer bow. I also made the envelope from scratch. Will post that at a later date. Thanks for reading.

Try a little lace in a dried floral arrangement

Love using dried peonies, poppyseed heads and in this one a little doily of vintage tatting lace. I then display it on a doily. I hang the peonies upside down to dry. Picked them just at their prime. I used different pinks etc. Over the years these do collect dust but I just carefully vacuum them on low suction.

Hand beaded fringe lampshade

I really enjoyed doing this lampshade. I hand beaded the fringe one string at a time. I attached them to a fabric strip then glued on the underside after I completed the rest of this custom shade. It is quite small - maybe that's why I took it on. The beading took several months of doing just a few strands each evening while visiting with my hubby. I am very careful to not let the direct sun shine on this through the window as I am afraid it may rot the fibres in beading etc.

ATC's: Artist Trading Cards on music note background

I enjoyed doing these 3 ATC's using recycled materials. Made the background with a music note embossed stencil by running it through my Cuttlebug machine. Check my other blog: http://rusticpixelbackgrounds.blogspot.com/
for the music note embossed background.
