CD Art with swirl stamped design

I have lots of old cd's so thought I would make a few into coasters. For this one I blotted on various alcohol inks then stamped a swirl design with a permanent black ink. Immediately rubbed off the black ink with a paper towel which revealed the background of the cd. This one looks great under a candle as it covers the hole in the center.

  1. Hi Sandra! What a wonderful idea for a project that recycles/repurposes items all of us have but probably seldom use any longer, thanks to the MP3/iPod revolution! I've also heard of people creating Christmas ornaments with CD's...your design here would be perfect for that, too!

  2. Hi Sandra! I followed you here from Jenny's blog. I like your pretty layout, it's quite sophisticated. As for the stamped CDs, what a neat idea. It might be cool to make lots, and hang them with clear line or pretty string to make a mobile/chime...

  3. This looks fabulous and such a simple, but effective technique. I can just imagine the candle on it and the CD reflecting the light - it would look so pretty!
