Another series of quote book pages.

Printed this quote on tissue paper - I love the wrinkles as it creates texture. The blue leaf is a die cut using my Cuttlebug. Attached with foam dots to give it dimension.

The above started out with a quote on a ATC card that I digitally designed.

The above is an oval "window" to show an image below it. (Will share in a separate post.) I hand stitched so this shows back which is not very neat looking.

I have been saving quotes over the years and decided to make my own scrapbook style quote book. The above was printed on vellum which reveals the leaf stamp below it. I scanned these in then digitally added the "Mask" design using Photoshop. I used one of Dover's stamps to create the mask. CLICK ON IMAGES SO YOU CAN READ THE QUOTES.

One image in 3 different card designs.

"Tell this to my sweetheart" was a name I put on the image when downloaded but don't know where it came from. If it's from your blog please let me know so I can give credit where it is due. It was fun to see how many different ways I could do these mini cards.

Mini cards using image transfers on vintage paper.

I will be posting my mini cards each week for a while. These were done with the image transfer technique on old book pages. I ran the card thru an embossing folder with my cuttlebug then layered it all from there. I will bundle these up and give them away as gifts. Stay posted for the boxes I made to put them in. All so enjoyable!

Textured die cut image transfer card.

Oh how I love making these. I upcycled part of an old greeting card. Started by making an image transfer (hence the obscure look which I love). I then used my Cuttlebug die cut and placed it over the top of one of my Cuttlebug textures. I use these as blank note cards. I also often bundle six together and tie with a ribbon and place in one of my gift boxes.

Butterflies journal made with Yupo paper.

The cover on this journal is made with Yupo watercolor paper. Hand stitched it onto a layer of illustration board. The butterflies (from Somerset Studio magazine freebie insert) were applied using the image transfer technique. The letters forming "Journal" were cut with the alphabet die cut on my cuttlebug on label sheets. Once cut I peeled off the paper and pressed them down at random then painted over the entire Yupo paper surface.
The heart I cut from mylar just by hand then ran through one of the embossing folders on my cuttlebug. It will act as a bookmark. Thanks for reading!

Little six by six grad scrapbooks!

1. This is the cover of Jacinda's book. The heart was cut from acetate with a image from Stampington placed on back.
   

2. This cover above was done with acrylic gel medium and a stamp. Her favorite flower is the daisy so I tried to stay with that theme for Nikayla's book.

3. Hand stitched around the above page before inserting it. I felt like I was in a coloring book when I did the initial "J" with some H20's. Used sheet music from a early 1900 Etude magazine.
4. & 5. Hand stitched around each oval for grad photo to be inserted.

6. Background stamp with acetate heart and alcohol inks for Letter "J".

7. On the page below I used a coffee filter that I ran through my cuttlebug to make a pocket to add a few loose embellishments.

8. On the final page I added a little mini card with a quote and a personal touch.
Each book was about one inch thick. Made lots of pages to add photos of their Grad and ruled sheets to do journalling on. Next week I will show you the gift boxes I made to put them in! Thanks for reading!

Recycle pictures from magazines into cards

Working on some cards after flipping through some of my old Victoria Magazines and couldn't resist trying a few frames cut with Fiskars and Cuttlebug die cuts. Added a little glitz on the inside oval.

I hope the instructions added to the one picture will inspire you too.

This would work great for an actual photo - make your own "frame" card for a birth announcement, graduation etc. This would look great in pastels for a baby shower card.
