On The Lookout - Chine Colle

This chine colle print is titled "On The Lookout". I created this for the vintage themed journals. I used various vintage papers then applied the Gelli Plate to the overall page. Definition of Chine Colle - Well, chine-collé is a special printmaking technique in which paper of a different color or texture is adhered to the overall piece. The paper, usually in pre-cut shapes, is actually bonded to the heavier support paper of the print in the printmaking process. It is not just glued to the print as a collage element. Video of Grace's Fairy Jar

A jar art creation my great niece "Grace" and I made. Started with a jar that her great Grandmother used to store sugar in years ago. Used various items to give it a whimsical feel. Added a battery operated candle. For the lid cover we used a "fun flower" which I will share in a seperate post later. Grace even took the video while I stood by to shut the lights off for the very last clip to reveal the "candle". Video of Grace's Fairy Jar
