Peaches And Cream Crazy Quilt Heart
Pieced and stitched this crazy quilt design onto quarter inch foam core. Added embroidery stitches and finished the edges with beaded french chiffon. CLICK ON IMAGE TO VIEW IN LARGE TO APPRECIATE THE DETAILED STITCHING ETC.
Shot in RAW - used a tripod, no flash, in art studio lighting.

Reading the letter - embroidered crazy patchwork heart.
Embroidered the crazy quilt patchwork with various stitches and beads. Incorporated many pieces from vintage handkerchiefs such as the border around lady image.

Botanical grass journal.
Picked the grass while on a walk one day. When I got home I dried them between some pages in a phone book which flattened them. Sometimes when working at my studio table I often toss paper scraps into a box. This day I reached for those scraps and found these words. I think they call that serendipity! This journal has many layers. Finished it off with fun fibres on the coil spine. Bound with my Zutter machine. CLICK ON IMAGE TO SEE DETAILS.

Crazy quilt heart with fringed edging.
I was teaching myself how to do two things here: Crazy quilt patchwork and embroidery stitches. My signature stitch is the "dragon/butterfly". It is always a challenge how to finish these edges hence the fringed edging. This will be a gift for some young gal. CLICK ON IMAGE TO SEE DETAILS.

Crazy quilt heart wall hanging in pinks and white.
The edging on this heart was done with a beautiful stiff type of chiffon from France. It worked great for the edges as it will form any shape the needle will take it. Will use this as a gift for some young gal! CLICK ON IMAGE TO SEE THE DETAILS.

Embroidered mini purse tissue holder.
Made this tissue holder with a tone on tone white cotton. Freehand embroidered the top and added some fibers to cover tab stitch. Added a vintage button. This will make a lovely little gift for one of my friends or relatives. Will share some other ideas later with the same concept.Monday, January 17, 2011
Music themed crazy quilt heart.
Still learning to crazy quilt with all the different stitches. My favorite part is "framing" the center piece photo so they all will be different. Did a iron on transfer with the word "music" on the bottom center then stitched with gold thread. Used a gold netting overlay around center piece just to add something different. Thanks for reading!

Crazy Quilt Heart Wall Hanging.
I taught myself to do some crazy quilting. I did the square then attached to foam core and finished the edges with ribbon and beads. This was lots of work. I will post over the course of winter and spring many more.
