Home sweet home using corrugated cardboard and copper paint etc.

Tried to make this rustic by using copper paint, corrugated paper, vintage lace. Blanket stitched around the picture before attaching with metal hearts that I painted with alcohol ink. Background was stamped with gesso at random then outlined with dark pen. Lacey paper on top was stamped with a texture then rubbed with copper. Thought this would make a nice gift for someone with a new house. It probably doesn't look like it but this took a lot of time. I have since put it in a frame which really set it off. Hope to do more in other colors etc.

Another version of young & innocent collaged canvas with vintage lace.

This is another version of this beautiful girl that I named young and innocent. This was done on a canvas that I stamped after adding image. Applied lace paper to give it a soft look. Hand beaded the vintage lace before gluing on. Did another one to hang with this one which I will post at a later date.

Peonies, roses, poppy seed heads in topiary.

I have always wanted to make a topiary. I used dried flowers from my garden. Added the real tree branch with bird before placing in a heavy clay pot that I did the crackle technique on.

Collage with hand painted paper with digital additions.

Used my own hand painted paper then added the digital bird etc. Bird, butterflies and moon images from Dover.
Go to my blog: http://rusticpixelbackgrounds.blogspot.com/ for the free background. I can distinctly remember going out into the garden after a snowfall and snipping the fern frond. I have turned it into a digital stamp. Thanks for reading!

Beeswax collage using vintage sheet music.

To see the details please click on the above image so it opens in a new window. I used sheet music from the early 1900's for this. Sorry for the variations in the photos - that is what happens when you take photos at different lighting etc.

Birthday Greetings card for him.

Used one of my own backgrounds then added bird from Dover. This would make a good card for "him". Please visit my Rustic Pixel Backgrounds for the background:

Handmade guest books.

To make these I started out with illustration board drawing freehand the vine around the ruled trellis. I then cut to size and attached a image printed on tissue then left edges ruffled looking. Printed off sheets for guests to sign then bound with my Zutter Binder. Finished off with ribbon on front and fibers on the coils. The background and a variation are on my Rustic Pixel Backgrounds Blog.

Gilded frame with tissue covered matboard.

Painted the raw wood frame with gold paint after embellishing it with a stenciled textured design. For the matboard I covered it with tissue paper that I crumbled in my hand then attached it with glue. Cut the opening and put in a victorian image that I ripped from a magazine. Would look nice with a personal family image too. I had fun doing this along with many more which I will share at a later date. Thanks for reading!
