Handmade guest books.

To make these I started out with illustration board drawing freehand the vine around the ruled trellis. I then cut to size and attached a image printed on tissue then left edges ruffled looking. Printed off sheets for guests to sign then bound with my Zutter Binder. Finished off with ribbon on front and fibers on the coils. The background and a variation are on my Rustic Pixel Backgrounds Blog.

Gilded frame with tissue covered matboard.
Painted the raw wood frame with gold paint after embellishing it with a stenciled textured design. For the matboard I covered it with tissue paper that I crumbled in my hand then attached it with glue. Cut the opening and put in a victorian image that I ripped from a magazine. Would look nice with a personal family image too. I had fun doing this along with many more which I will share at a later date. Thanks for reading!

Young and innocent on diamond design etc.
Oh I had such fun doing this. I purchased this little photo of the lovely Victorian girl and used it on this canvas board. Did the background with a large stamp. For the frame around her I used lattice ribbon. My only regret is that I didn't scan the background in before adding the image as that would have made a nice background. Gift cards from Sharyn Sowell
Just received this beautiful gift. Two new cards from Sharyn. The one on the left "Violets" is her original design cut freehand, by her from a single sheet of paper using only a pair of scissors. Then letterpress printed on the most beautiful cream paper. I just love the feel of this paper. Thanks Sharyn!

Dried hydrangeas with lonely roses in cream ceramic vase.
My sister brought the hydrangeas from a nearby city where they grow so well. They fill the vase except for a few lonely roses I stuck in from a previous birthday. The colors are so beautiful! The vase I did in ceramics several years ago when it was a very popular thing to be doing. Needlepoint picture on bottom left was from a friend's garage sale that I couldn't resist since it is petite point. Now that I have older eyes I know I will not want to be doing such a fine craft.

Teapot tray in green and cream.
This tray all started with a wallpaper border that I just loved. I then took a 12" square sheet of scrap booking paper and tied it in to create some harmony with the long strip of the border. Embellished with some bling on the dishes and added pressed leaves from garden with a vintage ear ring disassembled to fit on the bottom center. Entire tray is covered with a glass overlay to protect embellishments. It sold at our local gallery and I often wonder whereabouts in it's new home it would be displayed.
