Started with sheet music that is approximately 100 years old and glued it onto card stock. Stamped then painted the purple butterfly before running through Cuttlebug to emboss both layers. I used some vintage linen to make this lavender filled sachet. It was the first time I tried the tuft stitching. Something different!
I used vintage papers (approximately 100 years old) to create this patchwork look. Covered it with a coat of soft gold and while still wet stamped with one of my background stamps. Oh how I love making these. I upcycled part of an old greeting card. Started by making an image transfer (hence the obscure look which I love). I then used my Cuttlebug die cut and placed it over the top of one of my Cuttlebug textures. I use these as blank note cards. I also often bundle six together and tie with a ribbon and place in one of my gift boxes.
This is the top of a gift box which I did in various green Glimmer Mists by Tattered Angels. For the window I did the botanical theme, concealing the pressed drieds and music paper. Punched 2 holes in bottom of window area to tie the hand made music ribbon. This makes a wonderful gift box where I often place one of my journals, a bookmark, a glass pendant, gift tag, kleenex pack and a music title clothespin of which all are handmade. The box can be used by the recipient for storing other things later. Watch for more ways that I have decorated these gift boxes.
I made this tray using several designer tissue napkins cut up and placed around the words "Tea Time" which I printed on tissue also. Sealed the entire surface with several coats of Golden's Polymer Varnish with UVLS (Matte). Put the "ball" feet on to give it a little extra look. Finished the back with a crackle finish. These are song titles from a vintage sheet music magazine approximately 75 to 100 years old. I attached a magnetic strip to the back. Drilled a tiny hold on front and added some music charms of which some I made with wire.
Used some vintage papers from a very old music magazine to create this cover. Once done I gave it a coat of gesso to fade out the text etc before stamping it. If you would like the piece before I gessoed it please visit my RUSTIC PIXEL BACKGROUNDS blog and use as you please.
Used a stencil to create this diamond texture. I love white on white! Finished edge with some gimp styled trim. 
Used a different stencil for the top then sealed with several coats of Crystal Clear Waterborne Diamond Wood Finish by Varathane. (Actually intended for wood but works good on this type of surface as well.) I like it because it does not have a oil base odor and can be used in the winter and not have to have the windows open. When the surface gets dusty I just wipe it with a slightly damp cloth or vacuum it. I love my boxes - I use this one to store some of my trim in.
