The above is a vintage sheet music cover approximately 75 years old. I just love the fonts used on these.
If you look close you will see some texture. I did this with a background stamp while the gold paint is still wet. The paper is from a vintage music magazine advertising music schools offered back in the early 1900's. This paper was then attached to Yupo paper then cut with decorative scissors. Stay posted to see what else I did with similiar ones.
Sandra, love this! What will you place on top of it?

You've done it again... created and original piece of beauty...I love it !!!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, love the vintage music paper and the way you've cut it with the scissors.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments. Diane asked what will I place on top of this. Well in the dining room a plate of cupcakes or other goodies. If I placed it in the bathroom on the vanity I would put perfume bottles etc on it. Or on the piano it would look nice with a small photo or two on it. I will be putting one on the side by side just to enjoy it as is too. I did about 8 of these and they all are different. Will share more in future posts.
